An advisory self-check for incoming BAT Cloud Computing transfer students from related non-cloud AAS programs.
BAT Cloud Computing Transfer Readiness
Welcome
Purpose: This assessment is designed to help transfer students reflect on their current cloud computing knowledge before deciding whether optional foundational cloud courses may be useful.
This is not a placement exam, credit evaluation, or official advising decision. Students who fully transfer from a related AAS program should follow official degree plans, transfer evaluations, and advisor guidance.
Architecture choices, troubleshooting, high availability, security scenarios, cost awareness, and serverless thinking.

Reflection Guide
How to use your results: Think about your confidence, prior coursework, hands-on experience, and career goals. The assessment is intended to support informed conversations, not make a decision for you.
Higher Readiness
You may already have a strong foundation. Consider whether you want extra AWS hands-on practice or prefer to focus on upper-level BAT coursework.
Developing Readiness
You may understand many concepts but benefit from targeted review in selected areas such as networking, security, or AWS core services.
Emerging Readiness
You may want to explore additional learning resources, tutorials, or optional coursework to build confidence before advanced cloud courses.
Questions to Consider
Do I feel comfortable explaining core cloud concepts without looking them up?
Have I completed hands-on labs using AWS or another cloud platform?
Do I understand cloud security responsibilities, networking basics, and cost awareness?
Would optional review help me feel more confident in upper-level BAT cloud courses?
Should I discuss my results with a faculty advisor or program contact?
